  • Special Event Staff

    Supervisor: Robyn Burroughs

    Responsibilities may include preparation, tear-down, greeting and navigating guests during and after our major annual events such as Cancer Survivors Day and Face of Hope Breakfast. There will be opportunities to work booths at health fairs and share information on the services provided by Little Red Door. Other special event opportunities include helping with third party events like Microbrew Fest, Season of Giving, Shamrock 5K, etc.

  • Garden Committee

    Supervisor: Krista Bone

    Responsibilities may include planting seeds, laying mulch, harvesting herbs and vegetables, and maintaining beds by pulling weeds and dead plants.

  • Delivery of Hope Driver

    Supervisor: Tiffany Kerrigan

    Responsibilities may include picking up nutritional supplements like Boost, medical supplies, and/or durable medical goods at the Agency, and then delivering them to hospitals and/or home bound clients/clinics throughout central Indiana/Muncie greater community as needed. Volunteers will and complete follow-up paperwork to indicate the deliveries that were made.

  • Door to Wellness Concierge: Front of House

    Supervisor: Tiffany Kerrigan

    Responsibilities may include greeting and directing clients and other visitors, assisting in monitoring the program, and assisting with paperwork including but not limited to copying, updating forms, and conducting surveys. Volunteers may be asked to lead programing and maintain the flow of programming during the day or if preferred, spend time prepping and preparing care packages, inventory management, and supporting behind-the-scenes activities.

    Monday-Thursdays; 2–3-hour shifts – mutually agreed upon day/time.

    *Must be able to lift 30-40lbs and proficiency of technology.

  • Braun Distribution Center: Back of House

    Supervisor: Pam Melady

    Responsibilities may include assembly of adult and youth client care packages, care package folders, no-sew blankets, boutique care packages. Replenishing and inventory of no-sew fleece blankets, fabric, care package, camp, and other program supplies. Hanging message flags as needed. Quarterly cleaning of gym area (April, July, Oct, Jan). Cleaning and or organizing of other areas such as kitchen, boutique, distribution area as needed.

    Monday-Thursdays; 2–3-hour shifts – mutually agreed upon day/time.

  • Camp in the City and Beyond the Woods Programming

    Supervisor: Tiffany Kerrigan

    Responsibilities may include greeting and directing clients and other visitors, assisting in monitoring the program, and assisting with paperwork including but not limited to copying, updating forms, and conducting surveys. Volunteers may be asked to lead programing and maintain the flow of programming during the day or if preferred, spend time prepping and preparing care packages, inventory management, and supporting behind-the-scenes activities.

  • Group Volunteer Projects

    Supervisor: Robyn Burroughs

    Group activities and service projects are available upon request.

    Group sizes range from 4 to a max of 20 individuals. All ages are welcome, but groups with volunteers under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult. Individuals from within the group will be required to enter their name and email into an online platform to confirm attendance. Projects include but are not limited to: no sew fleece blankets, care package assembly, card writing, boutique bags, garden clean up. Please connect with Robyn directly to discuss group size, project budget, and goals.

Every new Little Red Door client receives a care package to help them through their cancer journey. These care packages include things like notepads and game books, cards, candies, lotions, socks, and more. Each care package also comes with a handmade, no-sew blanket.
