From the Executive Director
Dear Friends,
It has been a fast-paced year at Little Red Door and it seems hard to believe that the holiday season has arrived. On behalf of all of my colleagues here, I fervently wish each of you the warmest greetings of the season and a happy and prosperous New Year. There are so many wonderful traditions and customs that are celebrated during December. Sharing those with each other is another way to remind ourselves just how connected we are to one another.
I thank you for your continued support and interest in the work of this organization. The people who come here for services are in great need. Your support has helped us help others. The greatest holiday gift we can think of would be the cure for cancer. What a party that gift would cause! But until that day comes, Little Red Door will continue to be there providing help and hope, year after year. Thanks for all you have done this year to help us make the most of life and the least of cancer! Have a wonderful holiday season!

Client ThanksWe received this letter from a woman who we had helped a few years ago. With her letter, she included some money to give back to Little Red Door.
I was helped by Little Red Door several years ago when I didn’t have insurance to cover the cost of a mammogram. The generosity of caring hearts eased the heavy burden of dealing with the possibilities of cancer, and now I’d like to pass on the blessing.
Thank you,
Donna
Needed SuppliesOur patient services help many people deal with the effects of cancer, who otherwise can't afford needed supplies such as wigs, nutritional supplements, and incontinence supplies. These items make a daily impact in the lives of many of our clients, but often the need outstretches our supplies, and we have to turn people away.
Please consider providing some needed supplies
- Nutritional supplements (Boost, Ensure)
- Ostomy Supplies
- Wigs, hats & turbans
- Incontinence supplies (diapers, pull-ups, bedpads)
- Latex Gloves
Congratulations to Little Red Door's MCACCongratulations, MCAC, for 15 years of service to the Indianapolis community!
On December 1st, Little Red Door's Minority Cancer Awareness Coalition celebrated its 15 years of service with a Jazz Matinee, featuring hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, and live Jazz at the Savoy Restaurant. A number of people spoke of MCAC's many accomplishments, including Little Red Door's own Tisha Reid, as well as Dr. Frank Lloyd Jr, who served as MCAC's first Chairperson. The house was packed with many who have worked to make MCAC possible.
In the course of its existence, MCAC has grown and developed seven outreach programs, and has distributed materials at many community health fairs over the years. What started originally as an African-American outreach has grown to reach out to the Hispanic/Latino population as well.

Congratulations to all who have made MCAC possible. We look forward to increasing success in reaching the ethnic minorities in our community!
Holiday Stained Glass
Karen Ellis-Langefeld has created a charming stained glass Little Red Door ornament that we hope will make a fine addition to your tree this holiday season. The ornament costs $10, with $5 coming back to Little Red Door’s mammography assistance program. Also, Karen is continually selling a number of other stained glass pieces that benefit Little Red Door.
