Imagine wondering if you have cancer but you have no insurance and can’t afford a screening. What do you do? Who do you call? Little Red Door Cancer Agency, for over 63 years, has helped people through frightening situations relating to cancer. It has become a door of hope for thousands of people living with cancer in Central Indiana who lack financial means and adequate insurance.

Little Red Door provides education, screening and detection, and patient services. The screening and detection program covers five types of cancers, breast, cervical, oral, prostate, or colorectal.The Mammography Assistance Program (MAP) provides clinical breast exams, screening, diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies and Breast MRI's.

If you are diagnosed with any type of cancer, Little Red Door is there to assist those who qualify with free transportation services, medical supplies, breast prostheses, nutritional supplements, wigs, turbans, and emotional support.

Little Red Door Cancer Agency strives to make the most of life, and the least of cancer by reducing the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer for underserved and uninsured residents of Central Indiana.

Prostate Cancer Race helps Raise Awareness

Indianapolis – On Saturday, July 12th prostate cancer survivor Gary Thompson and 7 members of his 28-member team, rode their bikes from Noblesville, IN to participate in this year’s Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer. “We were soaked by the time we reached downtown,” Thompson said referring to the rain and thunderstorms that cancelled the run/walk. “I love the fact that people come out to help raise money for research, but the most important aspect is to help raise awareness.” (more)
